peanuts in pregnancy

i know that it's advisable to avoid them, but is it really dangerous if you eat peanuts once or twice during the course of nine months? am i right in thinking that the allergy problems correlate with the amount of peanuts you eat, so if you eat a lot then the risk is higher? have just tucked into nut roast without reading the ingredients ...

Nobody knows for sure how many peanuts might be too much, it wouldn't be ethical to do any research on the subject . Same reason nobody can say for sure how much its safe to drink.

Some women might be able to eat peanuts every day and have no problem, another woman might only eat peanuts a few times and then her baby have an allergy.

Nut roasts don't generally have peanuts in though ;)

...and some people avoid all nuts during pregnancy and still have a nut allergic child! with no family history of same
