Was this my waters?? help

Hi i'm a serial lurker on here but I need some help please? I'm 39 weeks yesterday, this morning I woke up with period pains, went downstairs sat on sofa and loads of water seemed to leak out I'd just used the loo so presumed not urine called hospital who told me to go in did some tests and they said it wasn't waters, it was clear fluid and I've had loads of bh and period cramps today, feel ridiculous as it's my 3rd baby but went 2 weeks over with them though, now all pains stopped and i'm worrying about infection etc as they don't seem to believe me at hospital, sorry for essay but would love some advise please

If you went to hospital and they checked you and said it was waters, then it probably wasn't. So though it's easier said than done, try not to worry. Also waters have a smell to them which you may have noticed with your others or not depending on other factors.

Sometimes esp if you've just used the loo, the babies head is on your bladder then it has a wiggle later on and the trapped urine leaks. (Isn't being pregnant so glamorous! ) I had this with my daughter, all be it 10 years ago but remember worrying about it until someone explained it to me.

Of course if you are still worried then you could always put a pad on, and then observe it over the next few hours and see if there are anymore 'leaks'

I would keep an eye on things... When my waters broke, they kept flowing. If you use a pad, keep an eye on the flow, and look out for blood etc. But if you're worried at all, phone the hospital back for advice.

Thanks so much keeping an eye out feel a bit silly as my partner and mum had day off work as was convinced they'd gone, oh well back to waiting!
