Hi

I have been scheduled to have two Fibronectin tests at 28weeks & 30weeks to check for the possibililty of Pre-term labor as I had a LEEP op in January this year.

I am due to go for my 1st one on Thursday and I just wondered if there were any ladies out there that had had this done and got a positive. (may go into labor within two weeks).

I wondered what their next step would be after this result? I don't like surprises and like to be a prepared for the worst as possible.

Any info would be great thanks

I have no personal experience of this, but I'm guessing that if it is positive they may give you steroids to help mature babies lungs as it works best when given at least 24 hours before labour. Don't know about what else might be recommended. Why don't you phone the unit and ask them?
