How do you survive them. I have 2 weeks until due date so potentially another 4 weeks to go. Im fed up and uncomfortable and I know stressing about it will delay as baby will arrive when I'm nice and relaxed but its not that easy. how is everyone else getting by this time?? x

Is it your first?

I know it is hard (3x overdue babies) but try and nap, read, watch tv, see friends and not over analyse every symptom.

Do things like swimming if you want a physical activity than will give you a rest from the weight bearing.

I'm the same dates as you. I'm really looking forward to having a lazy couple of weeks not doing much at all.

I gave myself one task a day to achieve, charity shop sorting, meeting a friend, doing some gardening etc and tried to get up at work time and do that early on, then nap in the afternoon, which would lead to bath time and then DH would be home, the days ended up flying by! I found that when I did have a lie in I would just then flop around all day lethargic. With the naps I was still rested. God knows what I'll do next week though, 40+2 today and in a very slow contraction pre labour phase which is driving me crazy!

Bit like Redling, I'm also 40+2 and try and think of something to do each day even if it's something that will only take an hour or so. I'm normally very active but there have been days when all I've wanted to do is lie on the sofa all day watching box sets so I've had a few of them. I've taken a wander into town on days I feel more energetic-treated myself to a new bag and make up yesterday in fact! Today I've met some friends for brunch.....it's tedious but the time does pass, honestly! Everyone keeps saying 'make the most of it' which can get a bit annoying...I know exactly what they mean but when you've been pregnant for 9 months, are huge, have no nice clothes to wear, are tired and are trying not to spend too much money, your choices for 'making the most of it' are kind of limited!!
