Nausea and cramps at 37 weeks

I feel awful. I have cramps like diarrhea (that cramps low down feeling that you get) but no diarrhea. Awful nausea (have woken up twice with it). No contractions, just that very uncomfortable "diarrhea" cramp. Walked/shopped for 9 hours yesterday and drove for 4. Please tell me this isn't labour. (DC3 and definitely not how labour started with other 2!)

Oh poor you! I've just has a hideous 24 hour d and v bug, which the GP said is going around at the moment, so it could well be that. Dehydration can cause contractions though so keep sipping plenty of water and rehydration salts if you do start losing fluids. Mine spaced out and then eased out after about 20 hours. I hope you feel better soon.

That can be how labour starts for some people....

Mmm labour can start like that. Perhaps call the MW?

I think it's ok. One almighty bum contraction and bump is normal and baby moving. Still have that crampy low pain but having googled apparently this is normal for 37 weeks with baby moving lower. Did have a good clear out but again that apparently means nothing. Hope it all goes normal now! So not ready yet!!

Oh I also had diarrhoea before ds was born, but it went on intermittently for a good couple of weeks. The bump going hard could be Braxton hicks. Keep an eye on your symptoms though and call the mw if you're worried.

Sounds like your body getting ready for labour to me op
