Fall at 24 weeks, landed on stomach

Yesterday afternoon I lost my balance and landed on the left side of my stomach. I landed on the bed so a reasonably soft landing.

Since then I've had maybe 4 or 5 kicks. Not as hard as usual or as often as usual. My left hand side is sore, like I've pulled a muscle.

I haven't called the midwife yet because I know I can be a worrier and I'm fairly sure because there's some movement then all is fine.

Oh and typically since I typed that last sentence, I've had 6 kicks in quick succession!

If baby is kicking and I've had no bleeding, can I assume all is well or should I get checked anyway?

I'd go anyway, when I had decreased movement at 34 week's they wanted to scan me to be sure all was ok (it was).

I would get checked out, just in case.

Go and get checked. I think it's useful to have some reassurance that all is well. It sounds highly unlikely that you've done any damage.

Phone midwife for advice and reassurance. I'm sure it'll be fine though.

I fell flat on my face in the middle of the road at 22wks, mw told me just to keep an eye out for pain or bleeding and to go in if I got either of those.

Thanks all. Baby is having a little party in there now (after me having a completely sleepless night!) but I'm probably going to call the midwife anyway just for extra reassurance.
