I don't remember having this with DD but my lower stomach is really sore the last few days. The baby feels very low down as I feel all the kicks and wriggles down there but my stomach feels heavy, strained and sore. Im 20 wks. Sometimes Ive been getting sharp pains down there, I shift my position and it eases off. I had a c section with DD so I hope the scar tissue is ok inside. Im not sure if I should get it checked out or just see how it goes. Not sure if its normal or not? Its not unbearable, just ouch ouch when the pains start but they're quite short lived. Could it just be normal stretching pains? My lower stomach is sore and uncomfortable as I sit here now. Its tender when I press on it lightly.

It sounds very typical of round ligament pain OP. This really common middle of second trimester.

The round ligaments wrap around the uterus and they stretch a lot during pregnancy which cause anything from a dull ache to quite sharp pains when you move.

It should settle down again in a week or two but you are finding the pain really uncomfortable it is worth mentioning to your midwife.

Ah right thanks so much. Just been reading up on it and it does sound like what ive got. Ive been having it the last 5 days on and off but its been worse today and this evening. Got my 20 wk scan on Monday so im sure they will have a good look at everything then.
