Sorry can't help. You may have more success under the infertility thread. Good luck.

Hi Cathy,

I am pregnabt after my first ivf. First thing I would say is that I really didn't find it as bad as I thought! The injections are painless and the only problem I found was it dictates your life quite abit while your doing it.

I always saw it it as a huge number if hurdles to get over, each scan is nerve wracking but you just need to stay focused, I had Accupuncture which helped and I had lots of fun things planned! I was also unexplained!

There's a great thread on the infertility thread for people just starting ivf and the women on there are a great source if support!

Good luck x

I would recommend having a look at the eggcellent egg buddies thread on the conception forum. I found it so supportive and informative during my three rounds of ivf over the last year.

There are many different IVF protocols and drug combinations. They will be using the hormones they think will best suit you, and will monitor how you respond. It can be difficult to predict how each woman will respond which is why I was warned that it could take more than one round to find the right protocol.

Good luck with it all and do check out the egg buddies for fellow ivf'ers.
