Low but doubling HCG, heavy bleeding :(

I got a BFP on Sunday, and started bleeding a few hours later. Since then I've been bleeding like a heavy period.
I had my beta's take on Tuesday - HCG was at 31, and today (Thurs) it was at 56. So they are doubling (almost?), but my Ob. basically told me its a chemical pregnancy. I'm going for more blood work on Sunday, and was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience? Is there any hope?

I've found posts from women who had low HCG's and went on to have normal pregnancies, and also posts from women who had bleeding and also went on to deliver healthy babies.. but with both of these issues, are the odds stacked against me?

Bagg, I have come by to hold your hand. The waiting must be excruciating for you. I am hoping some more knowledgeable poster's will be along to add their experiences. I hope you are able to rest and take care of yourself
