fluid retention when will it go

I'm puffy all over and dnt look like me! I'm never letting myslef get this fat ever again! So how long will it take the fluid retentin to go away my mw said id pee it out but when will I start looking normal!?

I had a lot of fluid retention when it was pregnant with DS2.

It was gone 2-3 weeks after his birth.

I had loads with DD1, I think it was almost gone 2/3 weeks after too same as MsB.

With DS2, a couple hours after my waters broke I could feel my cheekbones again! I could barely recognise myself! It hadn't happened this time... Yet!

Feel your pain frankie. I am trying to laugh off the comments but the immobility and discomfort is really getting to me. Hope you have some relief soon X

Meant to say a friend of mine has "deflated" within days with all 5 of her pregnancies. We have hope!

Thankyou I'm pretty self concious and looking at pictures of me at the mo is horrendous, I've only got to last till Monday and I can pee for england and I will never be so happy! My face hands feet etc have gone marshmallow man! I feel like a hippo!

I am slightly more comfortable today because of the cooler weather. What I misery am I to be pleased to see an overcast sky in August!

frankie have you had your wee and blood pressure checked recently? I know swelling can be harmless but also one of the symptoms of preeclampsia. Sure you know that already. I am currently being monitored every 48 hours.

About two weeks after birth..
I had to change my PJ every night as they were soaked. If I just stepped out of the shower. Same with our bedding in the morning when I woke up it was soaked..
Got thing for washing machines but not good when you have to share it with your MIL

Yep been checked bp is high but labetalols have stopped it gettjg too high! Im loving today its so cool but my feet are huge! I just need to pee and pee to get rid of it!

My feet have ballooned today too. I actually ate a whole pineapple yesterday in hope it would act as a diuretic and I'd get to have a decent wee. It worked briefly (I think).

I have raised blood pressure and protein +1 in urine so am being monitored 48 hourly. Hopefully it will remain stable and won't come to anything =/
