26 weeks and having braxton hicks on a daily basis sometimes as often as every hour sometimes only a few times a day.
Not painful but quite uncomfy.

I wouldn't normally worry but have placenta previa and history of premature births.

i got BHs very badly from about 20 weeks with ds. i was checked out and told not to worry as it s more common with subsequent pregs but to come running if they got painful or i just wanted more reasurance.

they're often caused by dehydration and i certainly found drinking lots of water helped with mine

mine are very few and far between magnolia, so maybe a word with the MW might be an idea.

I had BH from about 18 weeks with DD2, and as DD1 had been prem I was wiorried too.
MW seemed to thionk I had a n irritable uterus (thanks!) and DD2 ended up being 9 days late.

Mine were really uncomfortable at times, and I can remember having to stop and sit down when out walking with DD1 a few times.

Hi Magnolia,

I had this with DS2. It was very uncomfortable, and it went on from about 17/18 weeks. I had DS2 at 39 weeks via elective CS. I agree that drinking water and resting as much as poss certainly helped. It's deffo worth mentioning it to your MW, but I think it's quite common, and not harmful.

Agree with whats been said. I was old I had an irritable uterus. For me bowel disturbance (diahrrea, wind), UTI or movement could set them off.

I actually end up in hospital with them (also prem history). I was told that if I had more than 4 in any 1 hour period to ring delivery suite for advice.

HTH
