Hi ladies I'm coming up for14 weeks with my 2nd and wondering about maternity bras or even fitting for bras. Never had this problem last time as I only went up a cup size until the very end on my pregnancy (and I'm usually an a cup so not a huge diff)

This time however I'm like Pamela Anderson!! I can't even do any of my bras up let alone squeeze into them lol so so I go for maternity bras now or just get some bigger ones, and do I need to do anything diff re: fitting?

You need well fitting bras. I went up another 2 cup sizes after 14 weeks so I wouldn't go mad buying loads as you might change again.

Yeah I wouldn't go for maternity bras yet, I found I had to change sizes at least 3 x and then they get enormous post delivery before settling down again so my eventual bra size didn't stabilise until dc1 was about 6-7 wks old I think...

Thanks girls. Last time I literally hardly grew until she was here (my god did my milk come in!) but since most seem to find they keep growing I'll just get one for now I think

Although surely they can't get too big. I reckon I'm a D cup now and I'm only 4ft 10. I'm going to fall over Grin

I've just been wearing sports bras as they have stretch and give but support at the same time. And I'm too tight to buy loads of proper bras! It's working alright for me in them :)

Ooh go to Asda and get some of their £6 padded crop top style bras. Come in small - extra large and are a revelation! Totally supportive, comfy, give good shape and no bits that dig in.

Since 14 weeks I've been in Sainsburys' £5 crop tops, going up fr

Since 14 weeks I've been in Sainsburys' £5 crop tops, going up from small - large now. Really comfy and highly recommended!

I agree with the crop top bras advice too - I didn't see the point of spending much on bras that I'll only need for a few months.

Is there a point at which you should stop wearing underwires!? I had no idea!!

I bought a two pack of cross-your-heart Matalan own bras early on (in a cup size up), and then a two pack of Debenham's maternity bras at about 20 weeks. The maternity bra's are now pinching but as it seems to be mainly back increase I've just bought some extenders. Will have to see what the next 12 weeks brings...
