Sleeping positions... Is this okay?

I'm exclusively a tummy sleeper. At a push I can sleep on my back. Side lying has never felt comfortable. However, managed to sleep on my left side fairly comfortably until now at 29 weeks.

I'm know getting sciatica in my left leg within minutes of lying on my left side.

One way I can't completely relieve this is to kind of sleep half on my back and half on my left, kind of tilted I guess... Or on my right.

Is either alternative safe? Is one better than the other?

Apologise for so many grammar mistakes. I'm blaming lack of sleep?!!

Know = now
Can't = Can

Ive been doing that and using a pillow to wedge myself up on one side so not completely flat, midwife was fine with it when I asked. Am nearing 35 weeks now so trying to avoid it.

Yeah that's fine with ds1 I was very good and stuck.to sides I'm now a tummy sleeper and I'm finding it hard to sleep in any other position than face.down, but I'm coping with wedging myself with pillows 6 days of sleeping likethis then bacl.to normality

Yes.
If you went on your back and if it cut the vein off, you would feel discomfort. Tilted left side is fine!
If you sit yourself up a bit on a bolster you can sleep like that too... They gust don't recommend flat on your back.

Right is also OK. It gets inaccurately lumped together with flat back sleeping, because the veins run slightly to the right - but on your right, the spine protects them fine.

Yep, Ive been doing a combination of all three wedges (left, right and back bolstered up) because I get pain/discomfort in my hips.
