Getting sterilised straight after c-section

Hi all, just as above, wondering if they will do this immediately after the birth of my third ds. Going to ask consultant when I see him later this week to see if they will but not sure if what we're asking is fairly routine or if they'll ask me to recover from my section first. We are definitely 100% sure this will be our last baby (3 enough for us and cannot afford anymore!)

Would have thought it would make sense of you're having ac section anyway. Better than another operation.

I was sterilised during my 3rd section. It was my 9th pregnancy (3 surviving children) they had no problem with my request and I was only in theatre for a further 20 minutes.

They will bite your hand off if they're anything like my hospital..... It had never even been mentioned by either my consultant or myself until the day I arrived for my third ELCS when I was asked 4 times by different people if I was having it done. I wasn't..... and had no intention of doing so.
Another lady did though and was wheeled out of recovery with a little pot containing part of her insides!!Shock

Thanks for all your replies. Hoping thats how they'll see it too- I'm already opened up so makes sense to do it then! Smile
