I hate being pregnant

I am 24 weeks today. I stopped vomiting every morning at the beginning of last week. Now I have a viral infection that means I have a violent, hacking cough (sometimes so bad that I actually start retching) and swollen glands. I need to rush to the loo every time I cough otherwise I have an "accident". (I feel like a character off Little Britain). Consequently I woke up about 30 times last night. Just went to the doctor and there's not much they can do, she gave me a prescription for antibiotics but didn't seem very hopeful.

I know there's nothing anyone can do but I just wanted to whinge. How am I going to get through another 16 weeks?? Sad This sucks.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm sorry, that sounds terrible! hang in there Thanks

I feel for you I had the sickness, I've had a urine infection, Tonsillitis, and an awful viral infection it was so bad I felt horrendous. I'm 29 weeks and feeling the same I actually don't no how I'm going to get through the rest of this pregnancy.

Unfortunately I haven't enjoyed it one bit which makes me feel ungateful but I just don't feel myself.

Hope you feel better soon xx

Thanks nyldn

It's awful isn't it LBN? I must admit I do feel a bit guilty sometimes complaining - it didn't take long to get pregnant and the baby has been healthy so far - I know some people struggle and that must be really hard. I just hope that having a horrendous pregnancy means we will have dream babies who sleep through at 6 weeks???

I had the most horrific cough and stuffed nose when about 22 weeks and felt like shite.

The best trick I had was to close yourself in the bathroom with the shower on super hot so the room fills with steam and just sit in it - it totally opened up my lungs again. I also added an Olbas Oil capsule opened into the bath so the steam was menthol.

Bliss.

I think there might be truth in your joke about perfect babies Gennz, I have had 2 horrific pregnancies and 2 boys who both slept 7-7 from 8 weeks old :-)
I'm currently on my 3rd horrendous pregnancy, so fingers crossed the trend continues!
You'll get bored of hearing it but it will pass, and there will come a time when you'll look back and think, actually that wasn't so bad, there are parts of being pregnancy I quite miss.... Not many parts, but you'll find a couple of things, eventually, I promise! x
