40+9 tomorrow, we'll 30 min, and think I've just about lost it today, just completely hit the end of my rope. I'm getting a sweep Tuesday morning and had put it off from yesterday hoping desperately I'd go spontaneously over the weekend and it's just not happening. Ugh. sorry for the whinge. I have mother and sisters calling and emailing daily as if I might have possibly had the baby and kept it a secret! I can't believe I've been on maternity leave for 3 weeks already just going batty sitting around waiting.

It's shit isn't it?
Next time they ask, simply say 'yes ive had the baby. It's in a drawer upstairs' and leave it at that.
Seriously though, distract yourself in any way shape or form as this is the worst point. Be over soon and then new baby snuggles! Yay!

I'm in the same boat as you OP. I'm 9 days over today, so 10 tomorrow.
I had a sweep Tuesday and didn't do anything for me. Induction looms on Tuesday. We must just have the most loveliest and comfiest wombs ever!
Is this your first? This is my first so the longer it goes on the more scared I'm getting!
Fingers crossed for both of us that something happens for us soon and we'll have our babies in no time! wishful thinking!

my first too! you're right, more. time to get nervous about all possible scenarios is not helpful! every day that this little one doesn't come is also one less day alone with him before family flies in from the states to stay with us for 2 weeks! will love the visit and help, but we were really hoping for a couple weeks alone to get our heads around it before having house guests.

I hope this weekend is our weekend! I'll be sending positive labour thoughts your way!!!

With dd1 I was booked in for a sweep at 9am on a Monday and the MW came out to do newborn checks instead.

I'm holding out hope for that!

Adding insult to injury, since my due date, my thighs have gotten huge. Of course. Just waiting for the last minute stretch marks as well!

I'm quickly running out of days now, I'm being induced the day after tomorrow .
It'll be so worth the wait for both of us.

Have you had any twinges/niggles at all?

Not a bit. Occasionally will get a period type dull ache, but it only lasts a few seconds then is gone. Have resorted to reflexology and pressure point exercises. This kid is a lazy little boy! Although, on the up side, I'm getting more and more ok with the impending pain if it just puts an end to this!

Yeah I've had period type pains and cramps. But these have been on and off for weeks. Some days nothing, others enough to write down. But no pattern or anything.
It feels like I'm never gonna give birth! X

Ahhh I can't go in til 6pm, so another day of getting nervous, although I suppose that's more time for baby to come by itself.
