What is the best thing to use for stretch marks when being pregnant? Thanks :-)

Nothing prevents them, they depend on your skin. Any moisturiser will help the itching, and drinking lots of water may help.

Is there any chance that eating coconut oil might help?

I have a lot of stretch marks from puberty. I am using Biooil daily and so far so good as no new ones (week31) but guess there is time yet.

I have too, so I'm particularly anxious to leave with as few more as possible. Exercise, water, coconut oil to lubricate skin from within is the current plan.

Yep sadly nothing can help them. Even supermodels have them after giving birth (they just get airbrushed off during runway walks or photoshoots.) site.pishposhbaby.com/blog/2014/07/17/pregnancy-myths-infographic/ the most you can do is minimize by Collagen and elastin fiber intake. Collagen and elastin fiber in the skin are necessary to keep rapidly growing skin taut, and the stronger they are, the less likely they are to break and leave resulting stretch marks. It therefore makes sense to eat foods that are rich in Vitamin E and C, zinc and silica, which help to form collagen. Vitamin C in particular is an important antioxidant that helps protect tissue from damage. Vitamins B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin) are also said to help promote and maintain healthy skin.

Drinking sufficient water (approximately 2 liters a day) is essential in order to help strengthen and renew your skin. (Thats from americanpregnancy.org)

Hi Op. unfortunately nothing prevents stretch marks however creams can ease the discomfort I believe. It's genetic unfortunately and also dependant on how much weight you point on. I only put just over a stone on but my friend put on 5 stone and didn't get any stretch marks or loose skin when she lost the weight after.

Saying this I used Bio Oil from the moment I found out I was pregnant twice a day (morning and evening). I don't have any stretch marks or loose skin. So you could try that.

I know everyone says you can't do anything but I felt as if I was doing some damage limitation by keeping hydrated and slapping on the bio-oil twice a day (got through nearly three bottles) and it certainly can't do any harm.

I don't have any and I put on probably over 3 stone and had excess water so a huge bump. I am also riddled with stretch marks from puberty, so it's a miracle!

Last. 3 bottles throughout the pregnancy. WOW. I used to go through about two bottles a month Blush. My DH says used to look like an oiled fish... Ha haha ha
