Sharp pain, feels like top of the cervix?

I'm 36 wks + 5 & getting sharp pains, feels like top of cervix. Been happening increasingly for a week or so. Braxton hicks, general stretching, engaging????

Any suggestions appreciated. Really don't want Bub to come early, so I am hoping not a sign that we are getting close.

Sounds like it could be engaging. Do you feel it in the pubic bone? could maybe be SPD then too. Mention it to your midwife. Doubt its Braxton hicks - theyre more back to tummy then gone.

I had this for weeks with dc3 was most comfortable especially when on the school run! Doesn't usually mean baby will come early I don't think

I get them when the baby punches my cervix or bounces on it when I walk. Had them with the last two as well, sometimes quite early, but both mine came at 40+1

Thank you ladies! That's a relief.

Seems to be worst when sitting down at night (when bub is most active). It is so painful & uncomfortable, but maybe just hardening me up for labour!
