Feeling so paranoid that everything isn't ok. I have enormous sore boobs, feel fat and bloated and exhausted, but the nausea is pretty much gone now.

I just want to wish away the two weeks to my scan! Back to work/kids back to school next week and want to tell people, but just can't until I know it's all real, and healthy (how long between12 week scan and test results??)

Sorry, just a moan - anyone in the same boat??

With my first it was the same, but everthing was ok

LittleKirk · 08/08/2014 20:57

honestly I wouldn't worry. I had the same at the beginning. at 7 weeks I was running to the loo and then at around 11 weeks I had a couple days of absolutely nothing and I was so worried but welcome the relief, it will come back with a vengeance! x

11 weeks, the placenta takes over all the hormone stuff so some symptoms which are from the luteal cyst producing hormones may just fade. :) Freaked me out too but normal!

Its so scary but I have heard sooo many people say their symptoms have faded from around 10 weeks and it has happened to me in both pregnancies and both times my midwife has told me it is normal as the placenta starts to take over. I found that after the initial panic that my nausea had gone, I noticed it was actually just less constant, and from 10 weeks it came and went until gradually I felt normal about 14 weeks.

I had the added bonus of not having sore boobs at all and no stomach to reassure me as I had in my first pregnancy. But strangely at from about 14 weeks when symptoms are supposed to fade as you go into the second trimester, I developed huge sore boobs and terrible constipation. It just goes to show that in pregnancy, things dont always happen in the way it is described in the text book!

Yes its just the placenta taking over.. try not to worry about it.

My symptoms started to fade at about ten weeks, just had a scan at 13 weeks and there's a very lovely bouncy baby in there so try not to worry.

The placenta starts to take over around this time and you will start feel better. Enjoy it xxx

Thanks very much for the reassurance! Much appreciated - believe it or not this is my third, but my youngest will be six this year so pregnancy feels very long ago, and my body is definitely responding differently to how it did when i was younger. I still feel it is too early to tell people, but i feel like such a tired blob i wish i could offer the real "excuse" both at work and in the playground!

Bothofyou, my symptoms totally disappeared at 8 wks..so much so that we had prepared ourselves for the worst going into our 12 scan. We for the shock of our lives when we saw our Bean doing somersaults!
I think we are probably a few of the lucky ones who are getting away with prolonged sickness! You might find that you still have some food/drink aversions though!
