Baby movements..

.. I just wondered what it actually IS that makes a baby move when you're eating. I get that this might not happen to everyone else. But, whenever I eat, within about 3 mouthfuls, the baby starts wiggling about.

What is it getting? The results of me feeling glad about eating? A change in the blood due to me eating? Just feeling something in my stomach/something else physically moving that disturbs it and makes it wiggle?

I know that the reason they move when you have cold things is because of the digestive tract goes past them and they feel the temp change, so maybe they just feel something going on?! I have had to abandon many a meal because I just feel nauseous with a full grown baby wriggling when I'm eating. Just can't do it. I explained to my husband that if I repeatedly poked and shook his stomach while he ate he'd probably leave his dinner too!

They can feel things in your stomach/intestine/bowel.
if the food is warmer or colder than body temperature they will sense it.
Also, later on they can taste some foods as they are digested.

Mine moves for food and ... well, it feels as relieved as I do when my constipation eases put it that way! Grin
