Ok so theres the usual.... Have a glass of wine, some brie and pate but what about the things you took for granted before but miss now?

For me I cant wait to be able to pee like a normal person and feel I have peed rather than end up heading back to the loo a few moments later.

Cant wait to be able to reach a shelf in my kitchen.... I cant reach it myself now because of my bump!

Being able to turn over in bed without feeling its such a chore!

Being able to shave my legs with ease

Be able to get out of the bath with ease instead of feeling like a beetle on its shell!

Anyone else?!

@mrsnlw
Oohhh a surprise! You're willpower is much better than mine
I definitely didn't book a scan at 16 weeks to find out what colour we were getting

3 days, I'm even more jealous :)

And YY, I want real champagne too. I think it's the only time I'll get away with being demanding before I'm told to stop being a diva and settle for a glass of asda prosecco

nyldn · 07/08/2014 12:11

6 days past due date and at this point I'd settle for just tying my shoes and rolling over in bed without sounding like some sort of beast! I can't wait for a big campari spritz in the sun and a rare steak. I can't wait to lose my sweet tooth which has done me no favours for the past 9 months. I look forward to running. Most of all, I can't wait to not have to stop every 10 feet on the pavement to hike up my jeans!!!

Burmama · 07/08/2014 12:11

Skiing

GingerRodgers · 07/08/2014 12:13

I'm outing a bottle of champagne in the fridge as we leave forthe hospital so we can drink it on getting home.

Won't be lying on my front for a while due to boobs Hmm but will look forward to not feeling like my stomach is exploding as I roll over in the night.

Can't wait for the smells to go away, it's like being a sniffer dog and I hate it.

Will be sitting on the floor with dd to play again as soon as possible. Poor little thing, she's being so good but I miss being able to play with her all I can play now is poorly mummy let's ring the doctor

squizita · 07/08/2014 12:15

Being able to go RIGHT UP TO THINGS and reach them without bump buffer zone! I'm not talking pert tummy, just the ability not to 'look like a T rex reaching for the back of the cupboard' as my DH puts it!

ButterflyOfFreedom · 07/08/2014 12:21

Yes yes yes to returning to 'normal' the clothes and not having to pull up my jeans every 10 seconds!

And yes to the smells - I love my DH's aftershave normally but at the moment it's just too much!

Eating goats cheese
Being able to reverse properly in the car
Playing tennis again
Attending to my 'lady garden'
Not looking like a blue whale in my (blue) dressing gown and hearing DC1 shouting 'mummy whale' all the time!

polkadotdelight · 07/08/2014 12:45

I want to be able to bend again. I spilt water on the floor this morning and had to get on my hands and knees to mop it up (and then pull myself up using the kitchen worktop).

squizita · 07/08/2014 12:48

Not having the urge to lie down every hour, on the hour, until I feel a kick then obsessing whether it is a 'reduction'. Chance would be a fine thing: every hour, on the hour! Grin Poor kid already in a routine.

Of course, when I'm not checking, that is when she'll kick my bladder or make my belly look alien... especially if I'm trying to nap or am far from the loo.

mrsnlw · 07/08/2014 12:51

polkadot I do now assess whether I need said item dropped on floor before bending for it.

soppy but I also am looking forward to not having to depend on DH so much cos I kniw he's knavkered!

polkadotdelight · 07/08/2014 13:01

Oh yes, some things stay on the floor until DH is home!

Marnierose · 07/08/2014 13:05

I'm so lucky that I feel the same physically and emotionally. I do really fancy a rare steak and a beer. I can't wait to hold my baby. I would like to be a bit more active around the house although I'm having a mad nesting energy burst right now.

I'm a bit worried having a baby is going to be a bigger struggle! (I know it will really).

Loujim2 · 07/08/2014 13:11

I want to sit in a nice beer garden and have a few ciders.
Not have to wear flip flops.
Sleep on my front.
Eat what I want!
Have a proper poo!
Want to feel like having sex!

Tallblue · 07/08/2014 13:21

To be able to sleep flat on my back, Orangutan-style with arms in the air.
To lose my addiction to ginger ale.
To drink exotic cocktails.
To shake the habit of living in leggings.
To have several strong cups of tea each day.
To turn over in bed without creating a mini tidal wave on a small island thousands of miles away!

whiteblossom · 07/08/2014 13:28

goats cheese..mmmmm how Ive missed that!

PeppermintInfusion · 07/08/2014 14:00

Do proper exercise, eat a load of seafood, have a normal functioning digestive system and slept all night without needing to pee!

squizita · 07/08/2014 14:15

No one saying stupid things/cliches wrapped up as wisdom "get your sleep now" ... I'm heavily pregnant with a pre-existing sleep disorder. I can't.
I understand plenty of women can't sleep in late pregnancy in summer.

Telling us we 'should' is stupid. We can't.

MarchEliza · 07/08/2014 15:20

weebairn - Here's hoping - I'm looking forward to it! :)

GingerRodgers · 07/08/2014 15:38

Oh! I want to feel cold again. I'm so sick of being hot and sweaty. Can't wait to have to wrap up again.

mssleepyhead · 07/08/2014 17:28

Sleeping comfortably.
Sitting up easily.
Running up a flight of stairs.
Waking up on my back and hoping I haven't done serious damage in the night.
Eating a medium burger.
Driving over speed bumps without wincing.
Wearing proper bras.
Wearing normal clothes.
Not checking for blood/mucus plug when I go to the loo.
Get dressed without ruining clothing with bio oil.

But I'm going to miss a lot too...

LizLimone · 07/08/2014 17:31

Sleep on my front again.

Not feel instantly full and bloated after every meal, no matter how much I've eaten.

Picking up my poor toddler again! He is just too heavy for me to lift now and I feel sorry for him when he comes to me saying 'I want to be carried!' and I have to say no.

Heatherbell1978 · 07/08/2014 17:34

Pate, blue cheese and sushi.
Bikram yoga.
Sleeping on my stomach.
Bending forward to pick something up.
Normal clothes (please please let me fit into my size 8/10 wardrobe before Christmas...).

weebairn · 07/08/2014 17:47

I laughed at 'mummy whale'. Sorry.

Yes to being able to pick up and properly run after toddler again. Poor deprived mite Sad

Eatscones · 07/08/2014 17:55

I can't wait to eat and not feel ill after, no acid, no heartburn! Be able to to run around with my toddler and have adventures. I can't wait for my energy levels to match up,with what my brain wants to do. And enjoy proper coffee again!

polkadotdelight · 07/08/2014 18:07

mssleepy I wince when we go over bumps too, I thought it was just me!

whiteblossom · 07/08/2014 18:48

I wince when going over speed bumps too, In fact I make an "eye eye eye ouh yai ya" type noise which my ds joins in with Grin
