What position did you spend most of your labour in?

Just on the back of another thread, it got me thinking. I was lying down for the whole labour and didn't walk around at all. At a later stage I was offered a commode and she said this was a better position for me.

Labour didn't progress in time and ended up with an emcs. I don't know if lying was the right way?

When I watch one born they have gym balls and the like. Nothing like this was offered. Now am very quiet and didn't ask or request anything and also a bit bod py shy so didn't want to be half naked. Was I a bit naive?

DS1 mostly stood leaning against DH (Midwife had to catch DS when he was born!) Also spent some time kneeling on the bed leaning over the back after I was made to get on it to be examined and couldn't get off for ages.
DTs flat on my back as had to have c section as they were breech. I had been planning to stay on my feet though as I am convinced that gravity helped with DS1.

Stood up holding on to things for dear life for 36 hours until I got the blessed epidural (which quickly ended up as an emcs).

You should have seen the size of my ankles after a day and half standing up...
