faint pregnancy test but period pains!

I am 1 day past my period due date. I took this test this afternoon am I pregnant?

i would leave it a few more days if you think you might be because that test looks negative to me. it could just be the fact that the hormone is too faint to detect yet.

I can see a faint line so looks like a positive to me! Do you have another test you can use tomorrow? Not sure what brand you have there but Superdrug own brand early result and First Response Early result are good for showing clear lines that appear weak on other brands.

Take another and use first morning urine as this is more concentrated so you get a more accurate result x

I had period pains for the first few weeks of my pregnancy and peed on a number of sticks to make sure!

OMG I am in the same situation, period 3 days late. Don't want to test because I don't want it to be negative :( I always let my imagination run away with me! Never normally late though agh! Had period pains for a few days.

Yes I'm going to take another in the morning it's just a cheap test from home bargains, been ttc for 3 months now thanks everyone will try again tomorrow and keep you posted x

Period pains (that came a few days earlier than usual) were my v first symptom. I was CONVINCED it was my period and I was 'out' that month. But I wasn't!

I've been convinced I'm going to come on my period and I'm usualy spot on with dates x

Take another test but I had period pains and no period when I got my bfp!

I've done four tests this week - a first response, two clearblues and a euro shop one. All were properly positive except the cheapie, which was only faintly positive.

Definitely don't rely on them.

I'm a week over today. Also, apparently pregnant!

i can see the line, its ridiculously faint but its there. I tested 4 days before my period was due and got a line like this. Each time I had a line, however faint, I was pregnant.
Try again in the morning !
And I had insane period pains too.

I can see a faint line right off. For your own peace of mind try a digi test 1st thing in the morning but it looks like a yes.

FWIW my pregnancy (now 34 weeks) started with PMT, a couple of days of spotting which came to nothing, and the usual cramps. I only tested when the spotting failed to get heavier!
It's quite common to have false period symptoms.

I had bad period pains for the first 8 weeks of this pregnancy, it was horrible. Now 20 weeks so try not to worry about the pains.
