So, I am a first time mum. I am 16 weeks and am starting to think about all the items I need to buy! All I know of is Mothercare and Mamas & Papas! Where did you all buy your prams, car seats, bottle kits, breast-feeding essentials, just everything basically! I have heard bambinos is good and also KiddiCare, but I know they are closing down soon! So as I am new to this, any advice on where to start browsing would be so so helpful :) thank you!

I've got my travel system and nursery furniture from Mamas and Papas although both were gifts.

Also been bought bottles/sterilizer kit from M&P and my mum has bought some baby clothes from matalan.

TBH I'm not going to buy much - we're lucky to have a large family and everyone wants to buy something for the baby so we'll probably just buy the less glamorous stuff like breast pads/nappies etc - been advised by a few friends that they had too much newborn or 0 to 3 months clothes as so many were bought for them but they had to buy loads of 3 months + clothes so maybe save your money for things you'll need later.

We got a lot of things second hand through eBay, Gumtree and local FB buying and selling pages.
For the things we wanted to splurge on and buy new, we took advantage of the New Parent events at Mothercare to get discounts on everything.
Maybe check their website to see if they're doing one near you soon?

Worth a look at NCT nearly new sales or equivalent (in Scotland there are Jack and Jill sales which are amazing!)

H&M clothes are good and have more colours than blue and pink.

oh and get signed up to Boots parenting club, the vouchers and extra points are definitely worth it.

I was recommended an app/site the other day called Varage Sale (virtual garage sale) which has been really handy, worth checking if your local area is on there.
