Fair weather friends

Has anyone else had sudden interest from people who have never taken much notice of you as soon as you told them you were pregnant?
It's driving me insane, like suddenly because we have kids in common we will get on.

Or am I being mean?

I had that! Hadn't heard from her in 2 years, suddenly I'm getting texts and fb messages and requests to meet up. Fucked me right off!

Thank god I'm not the only one!!

I had it with dd, was pregnant and my friend threw me a surprise baby shower and invited all of my old school friends (I was 20) who I hadn't seen since school.... They all came round once or twice once dd was here and never seen them since! Now expecting ds, and they are all gradually cropping up again, I've just declined meet ups with something along the lines of 'oh, sorry, we are trying to keep everything low key with just family and friends this time'
I'm sure I'm being bitched about behind my back, but I just don't care.. Stand your ground!
