24 week scan

Hi
I have diabetes in pregnancy - diet control. At my last consultant appointment they booked me in for a 24 week scan - I forgot to ask why, anyway know why this is??

It's probably to keep a check on the size of the baby, as if you don't keep your sugars low enough it can make the baby too big, as well as causing other problems.
