Hospital Bag - best and worst things to pack

about to start my bag. Can you tell me the best thing you included in your hospital bag and the most useless?

As well as those Andrex wet toilet roll wipes, I also found some witch hazel wipes in the 'piles' aisle at Boots. Bought those too. Several friends have said that they wished they'd taken in pile cream - after 2 hours pushing it was all she wanted.

Make sure you pack phone charger and enough toothpaste. SIL brought me a bag of apples and big bags of crisps which came in handy in the middle of the night. I wish id had a bath caddy thing to sit on the rails atk the side of the bed, because everyone kept rolling the locker back to get to me, then not rolling it back so i couldnt reach the water. This time i will take a velcro strap usually used for organising cables, so i can strap the nurse call to the bed where i can reach it.

Best not to take little g string knickers (what was I thinking?).
I enjoyed getting into clean clothes to come in.
Slippers in case you end up on a ward.
