Planned admission for 7+ days - hospital bag essentials?

I'm being induced soon, and will need to stay in hospital for 7 days post delivery, and this doesn't include any days before delivery. I'm looking at the lists I have for what and how much I need to pack in my hospital bag and just know if won't last the 7 days, but I don't want to massively over pack non essential items.

If you had a planned admission, what and how much did you pack for your hospital bag? And if you ended up staying in unexpectedly, what did you wish you'd packed?!

Thanks.

No experience of plan to stay in, but I'd suggest packing a "normal" bag for labour and immediately post-natal, then organise separate bags for afterwards so your DP can bring one every few days, and take home your other things to wash.

As RockChick said -DP will be in everyday I'd assume so get him to swap your dirties for fresh clothes (and treats) each day.

I think one important thing to pack is a variety of entertainment. For me that'd be a couple of books (or one and some laid out at home for DP to fetch on demand), a puzzle magazine and my Kindle (for games). Don't forget chargers too!
Will baby be in as long as you or will DP be taking them home first?
