I find that even though I'm only about 5-6 weeks pregnant my stomach looks like I'm further along. I'm suffering with gas and bloating so I know these are the culprits!! I've got my mums birthday party in a couple weeks but going shopping over the weekend and wondered what styles people wore to try and hide this before they wanted people knowing? Or any shops in particular that were good? Thanks

I found oasis good for longer vest/tank style tops which were really good for hiding it. Like these:

I shopped around and found some really baggy but fashionable tops too - but no shops stand out really for these items.
You will be far more aware of your bump/bloat than anyone else I promise.

I just moved up a dress size. As I'm already a bit big it probably didn't show too much and I do tend to wear baggy clothes anyway. Even if they do notice no one will comment as they'll be too polite thinking you've just put on a bit of weight.

I found that loose empire line/tunic type dresses (maxi and knee length) were useful for this. There are a lot in the shops/sales at the moment. They're meant to be loose over the bloaty bits but a belt under the ribcage gives you a bit of shape.
The other think I used was a 'skater dress', but had to try them on to make sure the skater skirt flared above the belly!

I found New Look and H&M good places- also as they were cheap I wasn't so worried about the fact these were just for a few months.

...also "Apricot" seem mainly to do pretty-but-loose. There are branches in big malls like Westfield and in some larger New Look stores, or they are online.

I wore skater dresses a lot, can get nice lacy ones suitable for a party
