Is it normal to have twinges in your side? They aren't sore, but constant near pelvic area and to both my left and right side,

I'm just 5 weeks today but since part way through lat week I've had lots of twinges/niggles/pains in my sides and lower back. Sometimes feels like period pains but other times more sharp. Some of mine is definitely indigestion related!Blush

It will be the embyro implanting in the uterus all perfectly normal and good signs x

ChickenMe · 01/08/2014 19:55

I am five weeks too and have a bloated stomach. I can't suck it in and it feels sore. I've heard this is normal. Fluid retention and things expanding.

Yes you get ligament stretching stuff.

I took a clear blue test in the morning came back positive, took 2 asda texts came back negative : could I not be pregnant? I told the doctor yesterday that I took a clear blue n he didn't want to test, any ideas?

My understanding is you can get false negatives but not false positives. Might be worth speaking to the dr about it though if you're worried

gabrielle1201 · 02/08/2014 07:57

Took one this nothing was positive ideas?

False positives are incredibly rare, false negatives common.
Most likely you're pregnant.
Brands vary. It can be as simple as how quickly the pee soaks up the stick or the ink they use in the indicator!

Side twinges are common- they can be caused by implantation, muscles stretching or the cyst (a natural part of pregnancy - it temporarily produces hormones).
If it feels like and actual proper pain or cramp, see your GP - or if you get any bleeding. Most likely all will be well but those symptoms are best to get checked out.

Im 6 week preg today and this is my 2nd pregnancy as my babys heart beat stopped at 8week two days but found out on my 12week scan as it wa a missed miscarage. Im worried about this one now as i dont feel sick nomore but i have alot of my down below and in my ribcage sometimes they come and go sometimes they are here all the time?? someone please help me?

gabrielle1201 · 02/08/2014 11:14

i am more reassured now, the pains were related to my constipation and i just have full scale nausea even whenever I eat i am feeling worse. is this normal?

Op Every pregnancy is different, what you are describing can be normal for some people. Like you I had cramps and pain early on, but very little nausea and no sickness. I've also had lots of constipation through this pregnancy

Dani I had a mmc last Sept, baby died at 8 weeks found out at 12 week scan, in my current pregnancy (32+4) I was very worried for the first 12 weeks, you just have to try and be positive and it helped me to tell myself, today I am pregnant!

I hope you have a smooth plain sailing pregnancy!

Thank you cookielove i hope i do my signs seem to have gone i dont feel sick anymore and i have pains in my rib cage and down below they come and go down below but i have no bleeding. With my other pregancy i didnt have anything just sick so i dont really know what to exspect and its scaring me thinking something is wrong

squizita · 02/08/2014 12:59

Dani with a MMC you carry on producing the hormones so you would still get symptoms, which means it can feel the same or different to other pregnancies. It is a cruel trick the body plays but it means every pregnancy feels different, doesn't mean anything is wrong.

If you are concerned speak to your GP about the pains and ask for 48hr blood tests and/or a scan, which may well reassure you. :) But I had pains this pregnancy (after 3 losses) and they were SO scary: am now 34 weeks, guess some pregnancies just have aches and pains! Fingers crossed it is that for you.
