When to pick up the cot?

We are struggling for space in our flat
So have opted for a space saver cot- abit bigger than a crib but smaller than a cot for in our room for our babies arrival. We have paid for it and it's currently at the store ready for collection whenever we want.. When's the best time to do this?
I'm only 24 weeks.. And my original plan was to collect it in November when I'm due but now I'm realising if I were to go early my partner would have to stress over setting up a cot which I tbjnn is different from not having the pram ready!

Also ... I would really love to see it set up in our room!

If the baby turns up before 37 weeks he/she would need to stay in hospital for a bit anyway so ive arranged for my crib to arrive in the week before 37 weeks. I'm starting to wish I had I now (33 weeks) but realistically, it would be annoying and in the way so I'm glad I set it when I did

I would say anything from about 35 weeks and then you can make sure you've got clean sheets etc in the coming weeks. I know loads of women who went at 36 weeks.

Although I did this and went 2 weeks overdue. So i dont know what's best !

Okay thanks ! We kind of want to get used to it being in our room and I am only finishing work for maternity leave the Friday before I am due so was thinking of things that could be done earlier to save time!
