12 weeks and no scan

I'm 12+2 and haven't had a date for my 12 week scan yet. Went to the midwife late etc. should I be worried that I may not be able to have the nuchal test for Down syndrome? Do they do that at the 12 week scan? Have I only got until I am 13+6 to have this? Do I need to specifically request it? Sorry for all the questions! X

Have you had your booking in appt with midwife yet? Did she not mention anythig about scan?
I would phone the ultrasound dept to book your scan if you have been given the number on your pregnancy notes otherwise call the mw and explain you haven't received a scan date. The latest the scan can be done is 14+1.

The midwife is coming round on Sunday to complete booking in. So I'm debating wether to leave it until then to speak to the mw or call the hospital directly and see what's what x

I would call them direct and see what they say. You don't usually need to request a 12 week scan or nuchal test but it does need to be done by a certain point, so this is an oversight on the part of the midwife/hospital.

I don't know if it varies from place to place, but I was not able to book a scan directly, it needed to be done by the m/w. However she just did a quick chat with me over the phone then sorted it as my booking in app wasn't done until nearly 16wks.
My 12 wk scan was done at 14+4 and I had the nuchal test and blood test for downs all done no problems. Im not sure of the exact cut off for the scan, but I am pretty sure the blood test can be done until much later. Id call the midwife and check your referral has been sent.
