I got told off for wearing heels

Ok so im 15 weeks sun and literally tiny bump don't think you would know om pregnant unless told you. Anyway on way to work this morning and old lady across road told me of for having heels on my boots.

Is she just mad or should I be giving them up xx

How did she even know you were pregnant?!

I am drinking alcohol free beer a lot and am rather enjoying the judgey faces on that front (whilst wearing heels)

Just ignore, at a certain point in my pregnancy I couldn't squeeze my fat feet into my favourite shoes so wear them for as long as they are comfy.

Why does everyone and their cat have to have an opinion on what you do when pregnant?

Personally I've avoided heels as I heard they can encourage you to tip your pelvis forward a bit, which can make women more likely to get a sore lower back later on as the bump gets heavier and pulls them further forward. Some people find their balance gets a bit dodgy for similar reasons. But at the end of the day, it's your choice and if you're comfy it's nobody else's business!

She lives opp and darling oh let slip. She def one these ppl feels entitled to share her opinion. Im not ready give ip my heels yet xx

Yeah I heard that too I been dancing since was tiny so used to heels think gpt less balance in flats which are in my bag just in case x

I can't walk in heels at all and I'm regularly astounded by shoes that women buy and wear, it looks like the modern day version of chinese foot binding to me. I remember KM came down the steps of the hospital carrying Prince George in a pair of sky scrapers and I rmemeber thinking,fgs! but i@d never say anything to a stranger on the street! i might be thinking it though. am i allowed to just think 'wear flatter shoes'? especially when there's so much at stake!

I was told off by my midwife for my heels! I was only 16 weeks and they were proper 5 inch stilettos. I just didn't realise- it's what I always wear for work. I switched to flats and low heels for the rest of the time. I got a pretty big bump and my centre of gravity was right off so it was a good decision!

My GP told me off - not unpleasantly but he left me in no doubt that I was doing myself no favours. I was well miffed at the time and thought similar thoughts to Ladyflower, but when I calmed down at bit I began to see it as the perfect excuse to go shoe shopping and treat myself to a couple of pairs of nice flats.

Everyone at work things they have a say in my pregnancy, "don't find out the sex" "Is that decaff?" "don't lift that"

I don't wear heels ever, flat footed, but if you always do then do (unless you wear daft 5 inch stilettos) until you're big, you're centre of gravity will change and you'll soon want to wear flats :)

I'm 7 months pregnant & still wearing heels comfortably to work. If anything, I get fewer SPD symptoms when I am in some sort of heels (even trainers) rather than completely flat shoes.

lady erdinger beer is the one! Was recommended by a mnetter - even Dzh can't tell the difference. It's in sainsburys.....

Some women find they make their feet swell more and aches and pains a bit worse ... they don't hurt you/your baby though at all.
Just one more thing for ignorant so-and-sos to judge. On some American sites it claims you could fall off them!! They'd have to be really high.

I can't wear thin stiletto high heels anymore but moderate wedges and block heels are OK if not every day (I'm 34 weeks). Also my feet are a bit spread/swollen.

I just hope my feet shrink back, I have literally a WALL of shoes in my bedroom. Would be most cheesed off if my feet were too big for them all forever.
