I'm 37+2 and had diarrhoea for two days. Is this a sign of something or just a bug? Am staying hydrated just in case.

It's on our list of early signs from NCT, but could be a bug... Any other symptoms? Twinges? Mucus plug etc?

I had a stabbing pain in my groin a few times yesterday but have no idea if that means anything, this being DC1! Had one bout of stringy mucus yesterday also but I would expect much more than that if it were my mucus plug, I think. Yesterday I had sex, a hot bath and bounced on my gym ball so operation eviction is now underway!

I'd say its your body preparing if you don't feel ill with it. I did this for two weeks

No, I don't feel ill with it so maybe I'm just in preparation mode. Still, will continue with the gym ball every day and am going for a walk today to try to encourage things along. I want to go into my induction next week as ripe for labour as possible!

I'm with you there at 38 weeks, told my midwife I'd had an upset stomach and she did say it was a sign. Could still be a couple of weeks though! I also now can't eat anything vaguely spicy as it's too painful, so no curries!

Have also had horrible back pain today :-(

Any more thoughts? No more diarrhoea since yesterday morning but still got frequent, loose stools (very unlike me!) And discomfort in my lower abdomen. I wouldn't say pain but it feels a bit tight, like when you have a tummy bug. Lower back really hurt last night too. Think I started gradually losing my mucus plug this week too.

I know I sound neurotic but I'm due to be induced next week because I have T1 diabetes and so am scared about going into labour before that time and having to rush to hospital.
