Hi
Any mums-to-be or mummies who have had back surgery, specifically a spinal fusion before their pregnant/birth. I had mine three years ago and worry about the birth and it comprising my discs above and below.
Lots of HCP help but I would love to hear from a real life lady who's come out the other side after having a baby.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not fusion but slipped disc and the waterbirth helped a lot, I did also find it easier to labour on all fours too.

I had a bad riding accident last year meaning I was paralysed for a while and they have suggested either water birth or c section as everything went to pot with my little boy so had to stay on a bed (I had a damaged back then from a horse kick) and I couldn't push correctly so got rushed through anyway listen to what they suggest and do research into both options so you are well informed and can make the right decision for u and baby this time I think I will say yes to c section as if I couldn't go in the water again I don't want to have to stay in a bed as that's what made it painful for me. Sorry not much help my backs not as bad as yours but I did struggle

Those bloody horses eh TilPil funnily enough mine was initially damaged by a Clydesdale x thoroughbred nutter that liked to chase deer.
