Do I get a fucking PILE. It hurts like a bitch! Was pooing all day and feeling like it might be 'clearing out' for labour so was pretty happy, then it got more painful and now there it is, a fucking pile. 38 weeks, thought I was going to be spared any new pains! And this screws my mantra that any pain is good pain at this stage (baby getting ready to come etc). What are the best ways to quickly rid myself of this as I don't want it there for birth! What's the best thing for bum pain relief too? Apart from stop popping which seems to be beyond me right now .

Your GP can give you a cream which 'dries them up'.

If they carry on you can get lazer treatment but I don't think that would be a 2 week window more like a few months (and I'm not sure they'll do it if you're pregnant).

Yep, I have a potential urine infection at 38 weeks after having nothing wrong with me for the previous 37.

Bugger.

Bad luck GingerScouse! It just seems like a bastard time for it as I only imagine the added pressure of baby and the actual birth will just cause massive bum issues if I have piles as well! I don't want any more issues down in that area considering what's about to happen! I'm at the midwife today though so will raid the pharmacy for everything to shrink/sooth it. NHS says they should go away in a week. But I'm not sure if that's true if it's an outside one. And I can't stop going to the loo so it gets no rest :(
