Hi all

38 weeks today and getting tired of this pregnancy lark lol. My tummy is fit to burst and sore and I woke up this morning with trails all over my boobs like I had been part of some snails adventure trail... bloody milk! Followed by sitting on the loo and finally feeling like I have peed properly to then let out a torrent of wind too! Uber embarrassing when you are in the en suite with hubby in bed a few feet away!

I am really hoping that this little one decides he/she is ready soon. Surely 38 weeks is enough?! lol

Every twinge/pain/niggle I keep thinking hoping it's a sign of everything starting but no Hmm Still baking!

Anyone else with me?

38+3, oh yes!

I'm hot, tired and feel huge and am fed up of not being able to do simple things like bend. And I have a 2 year old!

Hobby2014 · 27/07/2014 10:13

39+3 here and I feel your pain. Sad
Hurry up baby!

BettyBolognese · 27/07/2014 10:15

I felt like this at 38 weeks (is already had 2 weeks maternity leave and I wanted baby out). I went to 40+11!!! :)

MovingUpwards · 27/07/2014 10:42

40+7 here, all the signs I seemed to be having last week have disappeared Sad
I've had 2 sweeps that have done nothing and consultant wants to induce tues evening/weds morning.. was really hoping to avoid induction so I could have a water birth in the midwifery unit but getting more unlikely with every day that passes. Sad

mrsnlw · 27/07/2014 10:50

Glad Im not alone in how I feel. I don't finish work for another week and a bit... I finish 7 August and baby is due 10 August. I must be bonkers I know but it's one of the pros of having a desk job in a lovely air conditioned office!

Moving that is sad to read. I am similar in that I want to go to my local birth centre as I have been case loaded by a midwife there and want her to deliver our baby but am terrified of ending up on the labour ward. Fingers crossed for you that things get moving sooner rather than later!

You probably don't want to hear this, but you could be pregnant for another month. There's nowt you can do about it, so enjoy the time as best you can. Try and be all zen about it, because what will be will be.

In the meantime become an expert on every air conditioned building in your area Grin

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 27/07/2014 10:54

We don't have air con at work! Thank God I'm on maternity leave.

mrsnlw · 27/07/2014 11:15

Iliketo I know I could be. Im just tired and sore now. If the baby sits one side it stretches an already sore and tight survey scar and if it moves the other way, then I have a really tender (and im surely cruised interally) spot from the baby's knee.

Ah well, only 9 more days at work

Thanks mrs I am trying to stay positive that theres still time and tbh I was fine and very positive and comfortable up until thursday. Since then I have been an uncomfortable grumpy witch to be around, I feel sorry for my DH and DDs!
I was expecting to go over as I did with both DDs but was hoping it didnt get so far that we would have to start talking about induction... Please please baby for me today or tomorrow!! Smile

nyldn · 27/07/2014 11:36

39+2 and I was really secretly hoping to go into labour the minute I hit 37 weeks and could use the birthing pool!! no such luck. just finished my first week of maternity leave and I think I've got too much to on my hands to get worried about the birth!

mrsnlw · 27/07/2014 13:17

I am furiously bouncing on my ball - DH said last night are you trying to bounce the baby out to which I responded "YES!" - eating spicy foods, drinking raspberry leaf tea, nipple stimulation and sex. No clue if any of it works but here's hoping!

40+1 here! Definitely ready for her to be out now! The first 3 weeks of maternity leave I was very productive and active but this last week I've hardly fine anything as I've been exhausted, especially in the heat! Got a sweep booked for Friday (although I don't know if I'll be able to have it as baby is not engaged and was back to back at last midwife appointment) Hmm

stargirl1701 · 27/07/2014 13:28

37+1 with DC2. Not ready yet! Still need time to get stuff sorted.

PervyMuskrat · 27/07/2014 14:56

To give you all a bit of hope, I texted a friend yesterday saying I was ready to have the baby now (37 + 5) and DD dutifully arrived 3 hours later Grin

NoMontagues · 27/07/2014 15:13

Wow - congrats Muskrat ! Thanks

I'm 38 weeks today too OP, and feeling the same as you. My dd was a week early; I am clinging to this fact for dear life. Evenings are the worst as that's when the baby goes into squirming overdrive and my restless legs start acting up around the same time.

nyldn · 27/07/2014 15:49

congrats muskrat!!! so exciting! what a considerate little girl you've got!Grin

ooh yes, the restless legs kicking up at night is a PITA. I only get it on the right leg though...

have done nothing but lay around eating today. Feel like jaba the hut, but can't muster the energy or care to really do anything.

mrsnlw · 27/07/2014 16:29

Ive done nothing more than sleep all weekend. Hoping its some sign my body knows something I dont. DH said 2 weeks ago he thought bsby would arrive at 38 weeks, only 7.5 hours left!

37 + 2 here and absolutely no signs of this baby coming any time soon. I'm still not peeing anymore than normal but apparently I will when baby drops.....I have everything ready, bit bored on mat leave and want this baby to arrive. I'm getting impatient!

NoMontagues · 27/07/2014 20:13

Funny you should say that mrs because after I posted the last comment I fell asleep and didn't wake up until after 6pm- this is after sleeping 11 hours last night too!
Plus I'm still yawning now Confused

Mrsantithetic · 27/07/2014 20:30
