Been pram shopping today.

Think I've narrowed it down to these 2. Can't decide though.

Xpedior:
Better colours
inflatable tyres (could also be a con if I get a puncture)
Looks sturdier
more enclosed
Has a better basket
Some dodgy reviews though

Zoom:
would have to be pink
has better reviews generally
very shallow basket

DH votes Expedior.

Has anyone had either??? what were your thoughts/experiences?

I looked at both of these but instead opted for something else
I thought the zoom looked and felt really wide and I also wasn't impressed with some xpedior reviews but it's all down to what kind of lifestyle you need it for I think

haventgotaclue1 · 25/07/2014 17:53

Haven't seen the Exedior, but am going for the Zoom. Felt that for the length of time it's going to be used, it would be more than adequate for what we need and was a good price.

CatFaceCrayola · 25/07/2014 17:53

what did you go for?

We got the bugaboo cam3 we got a brilliant offer and it think the sell on value made it worth it for us

Mumof3xox · 25/07/2014 18:03

I loves my zoom

Limited edition purple

15 months and still in daily use

Mumof3xox · 25/07/2014 18:04

I have also used the mother care one btw, and zoom is a much nicer push in my opinion

I had the black zoom my sis in law had
the expeidor and it broke under 6 months old they did replace it but she changed to a qunniy it was the seat that broke. Zoom was soild without being heavy

Spanglypinkpants · 25/07/2014 18:11

I have an expedior and love it. However I plan to switch to our MacLaren xt at about 8 months because it's compact so not as bothered about longevity.

I went for the xpedior mainly for the pram and because it was reasonably priced. £200 in the sale. Love how easy it is to change attachments, I am always switching between the pram and the car seat. I find it very easy to push. Only gripe is the brake catches on sometimes.

Having said that I had a crappy second hand pram for my first child so perhaps I am easily pleased!

squizita · 25/07/2014 18:35

We tried both out in store.

The zoom was rather fiddly and bumpy even trying it empty in the shop!
The expedior felt more sturdy and a bit more compact. I found it easier to fold.

Link Spangly we are thinking of it mainly for the earlier months and will also have a more lightweight Maclaren style pushchair as my understanding from many of my mates with pricy travel systems is you end up relying on the Maclaren anyway after 8 months or so!

We have gone for the zoom (haven't used it yet though-baby due tomorrow...!) we bought it on recommendation of my sister who has used hers for both her two and really rated it. Then we bumped into a friend who also had it and she rated it highly too (which we were pleased about as had already ordered it by then! We've just got the plain black one but I've bought a pink and purple duvet/liner thing (can't remember their proper names!) to brighten it up.

Dogsmom · 25/07/2014 19:41

I've got the Zoom and have been really pleased with it, its very light, easy to fold and you can turn it on a sixpence.

We bought it in black and it still looks pristeen after 16 months.

LJHH · 25/07/2014 19:44

We have the xpedior. Originally had a cosatto giggle but the reviews were shocking (plus they were recalled and appeared on watchdog) so swapped it. Baby not here yet but it's up and really sturdy, easy to use the cot bit and the car seat and the colour is fab. Plus it's a bloody bargain!

sofia31 · 25/07/2014 19:49

We have the zoom too. Using it for 2nd child and still going strong. It is a little wide, but still light and easy to push one handed. Very easy to fold and fit in small boot when in pushchair mode. Overall happy with it and was a good price.

polkadotdelight · 25/07/2014 22:03

We bought a Zoom second hand on Gumtree (excellent condition). We looked at both in the shops but I cant remember anymore why we didnt go for the xpedior. There was a good reason!

Mumof3xox · 26/07/2014 06:31

If anyone is looking for a second hand zoom I will at some point this year need to part with mine

Sob

CatFaceCrayola · 26/07/2014 10:30

We got Zoom as wanted 3 wheels, a bit 'off-roadish' and easy to steer one handed as have a rather large pooch to contend with on the other hand, also it's v light and a doddle to collapse, gave it a trial run with said pooch to see how we'd get on and all went well so a few more practice runs and hopefully we'll have it cracked. CatFaceCrayola · 26/07/2014 23:56

Husband is currently convinced that everything is going to fall out of the underneath basket bit of the Zoom as it's not very deep at the vack.

anyone had issues with that?

Mumof3xox · 27/07/2014 06:15

Unfortunately I have experienced some issues with the zoom basket. But once you know how to put things under it it's generally ok
