I'm 39+4 and this hot weather is killing me! I know it's perfectly acceptable to be relaxing and taking it easy, but I feel so guilty! I've stuff to do such an go to the post office and dry cleaners and I know that I am not going to leave the house today! Too hot, tired and exhausted! Please tell me it's not just me?!

It's not just you. I'm only 12 weeks and still feeling really yucky, have no energy, can't sleep at night, useless during the day :(

Marnierose · 23/07/2014 13:58

I'm doing lots of manic cleaning but that's only because my nesting has gone into overdrive!

Redling · 23/07/2014 14:05

I have had this today , yesterday I baked 2 cakes and some bread and weeded the garden, today I can't even face Tesco and I feel positively sick if I stand up for longer than 10 mins. Need to go into town but worried I'll have to sit down in the street or something! I'm 36+5, I hope today's just a bad day. I've drank loads of water but worry I'm dehydrated. This heat is ridiculous.

natharley11 · 23/07/2014 14:15

SlicedAndDiced · 23/07/2014 14:19

13 weeks and ended up going for an emergency scan last night.

Turned out walking miles around the zoo and the heat had irritated my cervix thank god.

I think that's my cue to do sweet fa until the weather chills out Grin

natharley11 · 23/07/2014 14:22

Yeah take it easy. Im relieved baby due jan now could not deal this late pregnancy. Roll on oct I say xx

bugoven · 23/07/2014 14:24

Today I have eaten breakfast and collected a fit note so I can return to work tomorrow. For all the hours in between I am horizontal on my bed in front of a fan.

33w4d - some days I'm slightly more productive but not very!!! You are not alone X

GingerRodgers · 23/07/2014 14:42

Nope. I am being a BAD mum today and relying on cbeebies to entertain dd. I'm too hot and feel generally exhausted today. Got a busy weekend so not feeling too guilty about slacking today.

JC74 · 23/07/2014 14:45

I am struggling with this heat. 39 weeks and have done very little today. Took three attempts to iron the smallest pile of baby clothes this morning!

I'm now on the garden seeking shade and any breeze I can find.

whiteblossom · 23/07/2014 15:01

Yes lots...

ironing-DM
Gardening- DF
School run- DF & DM
Supermarket-me-online Grin
Dinner-DH
Dog walking DH & DF

I don't think anyone trusts me anymore [hmmm]

I do put the washer on and make DS lunch box Grin

33+4 Thankfully allowed out to get hair and nails done.

Im very lucky.

pomegranatepie · 23/07/2014 15:25

Oh I am glad it's not just me, feeling terribly guilty as DH is working hard and will be home late and all I have managed to do today is wash my hair and run a sink full of hot water for the dishes, which I am currently staring at willing them to do themselves. just too hot and dizzy and tired. 36 weeks today, and have my driving test on Friday, so I hope I get some energy back soon!

polkadotdelight · 23/07/2014 15:50

Im melting! 32 weeks and Im huge. We have a viewing on the house tonight and tomorrow and Im really struggling to get the house looking nice. I promised myself I wouldnt complain about the heat but its beaten me!

squizita · 23/07/2014 15:53

I have strong urges to clean and do DIY and DH keeps finding me asleep at 5pm when he gets home from work! Then all I've actually done is, like, ONE minor chore! Then thought, I'll just have a quick sit down, glass of water...zzzzzz... Blush Productively using my holiday days up before maternity my big round arse!!

Mistyautumn · 23/07/2014 15:57

32 weeks and on my first day of mat leave. My to do list is miles long and I have done a few bits but so far the only reason I have left the house is for a hospital appointment. Trying to find the energy to go to my nct class tonight.

currently sitting on the sofa watching cat chase a fly around the living room. She has enough energy for both of us xx

magichandles · 23/07/2014 16:04

I am trying to potty train DS who just isn't ready, but he needs to be done to start preschool in September, so I don't have any choice. It is not going well and we are all hot, frazzled and frustrated.

mssleepyhead · 23/07/2014 16:09

Day 1 of holiday. I got up and then went back to bed. Managed to bake some cakes. Now sitting staring at the ironing. Might need to rethink my maternity leave to do list!

SassehMonsta · 23/07/2014 16:26

19+5 at the moment, took DH to work at 1, and drove home. Done absolutley nothing except write half a shopping list and make a list in my head about what else I need to do.

Keep considering swimmingbut then realise the closest pool isn't open to the public till 7 and the next closest is centre of town, milllessss away.

cant even be bothered to refil my drink right now.Urgh. Meant to be making a cake for a leaving party on Friday. :/

Em1503 · 23/07/2014 16:41

So glad it's not just me after all then! DH is on his way home now, which means he'll cook dinner and walk the dog! Thank god!

Only 10wk and zero energy not a lot of anything getting done at all :'(

RedToothBrush · 23/07/2014 16:45

I've a list to be done before D-Day. It's on track through delegation and slow progress.

Day to day, I'm having good days and bad days. I can't manage two good days in a row atm.

Today the sum total of my achievements are taking a delivery and going to the midwife. I have some dry washing staring at me which may or may not be tackled.

Midwife told me to put feet up and rest if I was struggling in the heat... so the way I view it, I'm just following medical advice!

Heatherbell1978 · 23/07/2014 17:59

36+5 here and my list of 'things to get done on mat leave' has barely been dented. Feeling a bit guilty about my laziness today so took a walk into town only to abandon my task list cos I ended up with a crippling stitch, maybe Braxton Hicks not sure, and had to jump on a bus home. #fail
