Feeling so much bigger this time

I am 20 weeks through my second pregnancy. I feel absolutely huge. Unclothed I definitely look pregnant but with clothes on I just look like a large squidgy pudgy ball of flob.

Heading to meet friends today in the sun and I want to cancel as I feel so uncomfortable in myself.

Should point out that I am recovering from anorexia, but I am sure I didn't feel this out of sorts with DD1. But then I had a small bump with her to the point we had to have extra scans near the end ( which was awful and obviously not something I would wish to repeat)

Not sure what I am asking for with this post. I knew a second pregnancy would likely show earlier but is it normal to feel so much bigger? Will I be bigger all the way through?

I didn't need maternity clothes with my first until I was around 20 weeks pregnant. I'm now 33 weeks with DC2 and have needed maternity clothes from around 12 weeks but normal clothes were very snug from week 9. I think it's because your body knows what it's doing it let's go sooner if that makes sense xx

Yes it does seem to know what it's doing!

I'm 33 weeks with dc2 and I'm much bigger this time. I agree with mrsGiraffe - it's like my body just went "ah, I remember" and muscle memory kicked in!

To quote my midwife, upon asking the same thing, "imagine your body is like a memory form mattress, it just knows what to do". Cheers love Smile.

I'm 26 weeks and bloody massive. I also needed maternity clothes much sooner.

My body does feel a bit like a memory foam mattress at the moment actually!
