I am standing on the platform waiting for my train for the last time before I start maternity leave.

Thought I would feel ecstatic. Actually just feeling kind of strange and stressed about how much I have got to do and the change of lifestyle ahead having worked in some way or another since I was 16.

Did anyone else feel like this?

me. i finished yesterday. i stood in my classroom and shed a little tear before walking out of it for the first time. leaving behind a life i love and, whilst very excited about what's to come, i'm terrified and don't really know what's about to hit me. woke up at 5.30 this morning, feeling anxious. hoping it gets better!

yes, today is my first official day of maternity, 38+4, and I'm so anxious about this change. too many big life changes at the same time, my head is spinning a bit.

Yes.
I just thought "OMG there is so much to do, there will be so little money, OMG..." for a few days moments.

I have another 5 weeks left at work and the fear is kicking in. As you say, working fulltime has been my life for the past 12 years, with a decent income and just the two of us...

Sure it will be a lovely new chapter but change always scary Thanks
