Anyone shed any light on cervical scan?

Background: DS2 was pre-term but just barely ( 36+3) so was due to have my scan with the consultant due to congenital heart defects within my immediate family and a cervix check.

But she really wasn't clear throughout the whole of the scan partly through poor communication and I just couldn't understand her accent. But i thought no prob - i shall just look at my notes afterwards. She mentioned something about my placenta and then measured my cervix ( which was 3.2 but she didn't tell me that i just picked it up from the screen). She then told me i had to have these pills up until 34 weeks and to come and see her at 23 weeks. When i went to check my notes at home i couldn't read what was on there and normally they do a print out on measurements taken which again wasn't there.

Could anyone tell me what on earth is going on?
