Noticed there are a lot of pregnancy tests popping up on here. I thought there was a Conception thread for that sort of thing? I'm waaaaay past the staring at faint lines stage!

I love those posts!!

I love those posts too! I don't think pregnancy tests are necessarily for the conception board anyway. They fall somewhere in the middle surely?

It's the start of there pregnancy why shouldn't they post on the pregnancy forum?

I personally this it's lovely to see and nice to be able to get excited over other peoples happiness! It's often to early for them to share the news with there friends so feel they are able to share on here.

I'd prefer it if there was a whole separate topic for them, tbh.

It's a bit crap in Conception, where alrhought the mood is usually amazingly kind and generous there are often people struggling with repeated disappointment. And crap in here too, as it's essentially a question about whether conception has occurred (and it might not, so it could be foul disappointment not excitement) rather than about the pregnancy.

I've never heard of an incorrect positive, most people on here say it doesn't happen. So when they put there positive test up it is exciting.

To be honest just let people have there time, let them enjoy it, let them have there excitement and receive congratulations. I'm sure you were there at one point.

If people don't like to read about it just don't click on the thread as mentioned above. Not everything people post will interest you but that's not the point of mumsnet

I think that if you are unable to read the result of a home pregnancy test without the help of people on the internet you probably find life quite difficult in general.

But I do understand the excitement of getting a bfp very well (personally after years of trying and an mc and mmc) so I'm not completely unsympathetic.

I think a few might have misunderstood me, and although I was a bit grumpy yesterday I don't think I came across as mean?! I just think a Conception or Trying To Conceive (take note, MN!) would be a good idea and a place for mums in similar stages of TTC to be excited/disappointed together!
