Is anyone else totally paranoid and checks toilet paper for the slightest sight of blood every time they go? God knows what I would actually do if there was any! Anyone? Or I am just being too paranoid? X

I was like that through my entire pregnancy!

Not anymore (37 weeks) but yes for about the first 5 months. And not just every time I needed the loo to pee. I would take specific trips to the loos at work just to check and any feeling of moisture would have me running up there. I heard someone else on here describe it as "24hour knicker watch" which pretty much sums it up!

Yep! Completely normal behaviour.

Yes. Everytime. (and extra trips). Every pregnancy.
And from previous experience I cried first at anything untoward (then did contacting dr etc).

Yes currently 27 weeks and still doing it. It my 4th pregnancy, 2 ended in early mc so I am blaming my paranoia on that. So I think it is totally normal.

Yes same with me. Am 32 weeks. Used to buy recycled paper - sometimes has dots of pink in it, had to give up and go for whiter than white!

I'm on knickers watch every waking minute of the day. I'm 9+3 and hoped other posters would admit to this diminishing after the 1st tri, but obviously not! Who would have thought we'd have 'The Fear' from going to the bathroom! Because of my previous experience, there's such a sense of relief post knicker watch! Pregnancy is most certainly not for the faint hearted!

I'm just coming up 6 weeks and on constant knicker watch! Only thing keeping me sane is that both times I was preg and it ended in mc they felt diff and weird, whereas when I had my son and this time round it's diff so fingers crossed that means all is ok

i did this up to about week 25 with out fail everytime and still occasionally if im feeling nervous and im 30 weeks now just one of them things in the beginning was nervous everyday up until around the time i got a big enough bump. so its normal dont worry

16 weeks and still do it. 1st pregnancy ended in mc and I often wonder if I would behave differently if that hadn't happened. Not sure if I will ever stop!

For the whole of my first successful pregnancy, I didn't really believe it until I actually had dc (executed and hopeful at times, but it was a 'miracle' pregnancy after infertility and ivf failures). Second successful pregnancy, I couldn't relax much of the time (til I knew the chances were pretty good) after a mmc - I really felt my body had tricked me.

18 weeks and still do it - I get a bit too into it, and closely inspect! I need to stop, but if I stopped I would panic! Vicious circle!!

Haha this won't help but I mentioned this to my mum last week (because I'm still doing it at 32 weeks) and she says 30 years after last child (me) she still does it -she did have a miscarriage before my big sister and think it became such a habit.

Yes I'm 14 plus 5 days and doing it constantly. Saying that I did have a few early bleeds so that probably is not helping matters! It looks like others who are further on are Also doing it. Damn I was hoping to not feel the need at some point, but I guess that's not going to happen. I too have had a previous mc and this baby took a lot of work so I'm anxious anyway!
