Double barrel the first name to break up the name?

Unexpected · 19/07/2014 21:49

Please don't do that to your poor child! She will be laughed at through life.

Redglitter · 19/07/2014 21:50

Hi de hi

Nope sorry don't do it

cdh555 · 19/07/2014 21:53

Haha ok ok don't worry..I wish there was a laughing face on here lol! Such a shame I just love the name lol x

buffersandbumpers · 19/07/2014 21:55

I've a very good friend called Heidi. Beautiful name IMO. But no, not if surname's Hynd. Not fair on the child.

HomeIsWhereTheHeartIs · 19/07/2014 22:01

Please don't. You wouldn't want a name like that for yourself. Don't give it to your child.

Climbontoyourseahorse · 19/07/2014 22:26

I love the name Heidi but have a very similar sounding surname and just couldn't do it to dd. I did think about using it as a middle name but it sounded wrong so we went with something else.

Only1scoop · 19/07/2014 22:28

Not with your surname

NinjaPanda34 · 19/07/2014 22:43

What about hyphenating it, Heidi-Mae or Heidi-Louise or something like that?

Norfolknway · 19/07/2014 22:48

Great first name

Not with your surname I'm afraid

busyDays · 19/07/2014 22:56

Nope, I wouldn't do it. They just don't go together.

WowserBowser · 19/07/2014 23:00

No definitely not! Funny though Grin

And no to hyphenated Mae. Done to death.

omgherecomesno2 · 19/07/2014 23:04

what about heidi-lee hynde

JennyBlueWren · 20/07/2014 07:25

Could keep Heidi for a middle name. Alliterative middle and surnames don't matter as much.

JennyBlueWren · 20/07/2014 07:26

If they were both just the same first letter it'd be okay but with the hi and hi even with something in between it doesn't work.

BlueStarsAtNight · 20/07/2014 07:51

Love Heidi but definitely not with your surname. She'd get Hi-de-hi'd at for the rest of her life !

ColdCottage · 20/07/2014 07:58

Lovely name but agree sounds a but funny with surname.

Radical suggestion here - you all as a family change your surname! If you took your DH name then use your maiden name, or make a new one up.

ColdCottage · 20/07/2014 07:59

Chynd perhaps?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 20/07/2014 08:57

Not with that surname.

aprilanne · 20/07/2014 09:17

if you like it why not .my husband has a friend .david davidson

Redglitter · 20/07/2014 17:45

Heidi lee hynde is even worse

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 20/07/2014 17:52

Nope, not with your surname sorry.

And I agree, hyphenating it with something like Mae has been done to death and then some...

JenniferJo · 20/07/2014 17:55

Just no.

Ho de Ho.
