Induction experiences please

I've just had my second sweep, which is apparently as unfavorable for success as my first, so been told I'm likely looking at having an induction (already booked for Thursday when I'll be 12 days overdue).
Just wanted to hear some experiences, as apparently its supposed to be harder to deal with the pain/more likely to need pain relief etc. Any advice appreciated xx

I wasn't asked either but I did mention my mum's pph with dc2 as I also had one - I don't think there's any causality necessarily but mention it, there's no harm. Good luck!

Mention it but I don't think their is a link. I mentioned to the mw my mum had very quick labours, she was at least then not toally shocked when DS arrived very quickly (although she wasn't exactly ready either!)

Interesting what people are saying about long labours and the baby not being ready - I had a marathon horror labours with induction but with both I'd gone into labour naturally and then been induced.

My DM had 3 CS, my aunt didn't but had similar horror birth to mine - no induction but days of labour. It's definitely worth paying attention to family history.

I've recently realised that everyone I know that has been induced has ended up with interventions. Sorry don't want to scare you it just seems to be a trend. I was induced at 40+5 due to reduced foetal movement. After a failed pessary they broke my waters and there was meconium present. So leaving me to start contracting went out the window and I was put on the drip. Managed 3 hours of full strength contractions (every 2 mins) then had an epidural and 12 hours later an EMCS. My DD was face presenting and back to back so I probably would have ended that way but I'm not sure, I'll be asking for a CS this time if I don't go into labour naturally! Sorry for the essay.
