I hate these &*^$ing things! When I got a positive on a Sainsburys one I was so excited but got so confused that a couple of days after I thought I'd misread it & had to run out and buy a new one in a nauseous panic (fortunately I WAS pregnant, but the doubt was terrible), its because they all read out differently (two lines, line and a cross...some vertical, some horizontal) and your brain gets in such a tizz anyway when doing a test, especially if you've used various brands. I definitely rate First Response, but I think next time I'll use an idiot-proof 'pregnant/not pregnant' words one!

MrsR84 · 20/07/2014 06:19

PS, both of mine were RIDICULOUSLY faint, but a line is a line and they turned out to be correct!

Lula2515 · 20/07/2014 11:38

My BFP looked just like that, I nearly threw it in the bin before I did a double take. Then did a digital first response one which is helpful as it gives you a pregnant/not pregnant, I advise one of those to settle your mind x

I can see the cross...hopefully a BFP!! How early are you testing? I had this a few months back (testing a day or two before AF was due and turned out to be a chemical pregnancy...the line never got stronger.... Saying that I know lots of people get a faint line early on and then it quickly gets darker day by day. I would recommend the first response tests if you can get one tomorrow but i would say this is definitely looking promising!!

Loveallmyboys · 20/07/2014 18:47

It's there! ++++++

gamerchick · 20/07/2014 19:00

Still can't see a cross.

Christ you're stressing me out Grin how late for your period are you.

angeltreats · 20/07/2014 19:22

I can see a cross, I'm sure I can.

Maybe pick up a Superdrug own brand test tomorrow, they're meant to be the most sensitive.

angeltreats · 20/07/2014 19:25

Sorry, I clicked submit too quickly. Meant to say when I got my BFP this year I used one of those tests (a Clearblue one but a blue dye, cross type one) and got an almost immediate very strong cross, but it turned out I was nearly six weeks pregnant when I tested. I can't see in the thread if you've said how late you are but if you're only just late or not even due yet I wouldn't be surprised if you got a very faint line.

Southpaws · 20/07/2014 19:32

Why don't you try a different brand or a clear blue digi??

Louiseukukuk · 20/07/2014 19:44

I'm only 8dpo x

Then maybe waiting till your period is due might be better. You'll be a bag of nerves if you keep testing till then.

angeltreats · 20/07/2014 20:07

Aha, no wonder! Don't bother with a digi, it'll probably still come up negative at this stage. Leave it at least a couple of days, more if you can cope with the wait, and try again the day you're due or the next day.

Loveallmyboys · 20/07/2014 20:12

First response! Eek the suspense is killing me! I was a chronic poas'er...

All feint but positive. Yours look the same as mine

frankiebuns · 20/07/2014 20:15

I used one of those and got super excited for no reason! I bought a cheapy one from asda the next time and showed up straight away

Lalalax3 · 20/07/2014 23:24

For the love of god use a FRER or digi! I can't see these crosses at all!

Louiseukukuk · 24/07/2014 08:38

So I took a pink dye today and not sure

That's looks like a negative, but I would wait for 14 dpo, it's still too early for most tests.
