Job interview @ 8 weeks

Hi,
We are moving house when I will be 12 weeks due to a planned move for DH's job. I have a job interview at the new job. My question is should I tell them that I am pregnant?

Issues are:
I'm currently off sick with terrible morning sickness/fainting - so not sure how well I will be at interview.

The job doesn't start until I am after 1st trimester, but I know not everyone gets immediate relief!

It's a temp contract which ends before baby is due. I have already worked enough for maternity allowance and wouldn't qualify for SMP so this has no impact on my financial position.

I have had recent recurrent miscarriages (but this is the furthest along I've been).

Not sure whether I should turn down the interview, take it up and tell them up front or go and say nothing.

Very confused, any advice welcome!

In my opinion. Go say nothing then hope they take a few weeks to make the decision when you will have had a scan and know baby is ok ( goodluck btw) tell them when offered position. As your 8 weeks I would try and get a reassurance scan soon anyway as after 8 weeks mc rates go down a lot.

Go and say nothing. And don't feel bad about it.

Go and say nothing. Good luck.

I had job interview at 22weeks amd got the job. I'm sure if I had told they would have picked another candidate.

Thanks for the advice. I had a scan at 6 weeks and saw baby's hb so feeling hopeful ( if a bag of nerves, strangely the m/s is reassuring me!).

Does anyone think I should be upfront?

I had an interview at 8weeks and said nothing, got the job ?? If I had told them and been unsuccessful I'd have always wondered if it was discrimination. Told them once job offer was official and all was fine. So my advice: Don't tell them, they do not need to know! Good luck!

i wouldn't tell them. It shouldn't make any difference at all. Hopefully you will feel slightly better by 12 weeks to.

I had the same, interview for temp contract role at about 5 weeks pregnant, started with terrible morning sickness at 6 weeks preg.
The office guesses I was pregnant before At around 9 weeks and everyone was very supportive, including my manager. I think it'll be a bit dif if it was a perm role tho. As long as my work was done to a high standard.
Hehe I remember the regional director (of a well know national recruitment company) coming in and asking 'you ok?' In a casual manner and I just burst into tears!! The other girls in the office quickly explained I was pregnant and he just didn't know what to do bless him haha!!
Anyway! Go for it and don't say anything until you need to!
Best of luck with the interview and pregnancy xxx
