Pain in back passage [tmi] and abdo pains

So as the title suggests, I have a pain in my back passage, like a sharp stabbing pain, as well as getting a pressure like I need to go but when I try, I can't. And also, the baby seems to be moving a helluva lot and my tummy feels sore and tender. Is this normal? I'm 36+2

Are you pooing ok? Could be constipation?? Or maybe piles which are common in pregnancy. X

Could be early labour. I had 'really really bad constipation pains' in my bottom with baby number one. Was shouting about the pain (a lot) before I realised I was in (v progressed) labour. I was 'only' 38 weeks so wasn't expecting it with a first baby. And baby number 2 arrived at exactly 36 weeks with the same MO. Probably not labour but it might be.... Worth calling the midwives anyway. Good luck (if it is)!!

When I do go, its fine but havent been for a day or two which is not my routine now.

I have an appointment with my MW on Thurs so will see what she says then. When I mentioned it before (though it wasnt nearly as sore and painful etc as now) she said it was just head fitting pains.

Ah well, if you haven't been for a day or two it is almost certainly constipation... Try to drink lots of water and get some of those fibragel sachets. Must drink lots of water too though (even though it feels uncomfortable as you won't have much room in their with baby pressure and, umm, build-up pressure Blush) or they won't work! Hope it resolves soon...

Im not so sure it's constipation as it comes and goes for a second or so. I hate this not knowing

Might not be I suppose but mine did that when in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Coming and going I mean... (I had actual constipation as well as labour/contractions that felt like BAD constipation Blush.)

Maybe get it checked out. Not that you are in labour.
I had it was my first too, I thought I was constipated really bad, went to the loo a lot as I thought I had to go big but nothing. After a while it eased..

After my son was born and my mom came for a visit I said to her "why does no one tell a first time mom that contraction feel like you have to poo or are constipated" and all she said " I'm sorry honey but we got raised not to talk about thinks like that" seriously !!! Anyway I delivered a healthy 7lb14 son and now know for next time Grin(but if the time comes and one of my daughters are pregnant I will not keep it to myself if they ask)

It seems to have eased somewhat tonight so I will see what happens tomorrow. In any case, there's no pattern etc and Im due to see the mw on Thurs so will defo mention it
