Just curious really when abouts you first got it in your pregnancy?

First few bouts were sporadic through first and second trimester. Normally after eating curry or anything spicy.

Now as I'm approaching the 3rd tri (nearly 26 weeks) I've had it pretty much constantly for about 10 days. hugs gaviscon bottle

Reminds me I need to pop to GP and get another couple of bottles!!!

I'm 27 weeks and it's just started. Thankfully still have ranitidine tablets from previous pg. they were a life saver last time totally recommend them.

Can't remember when... think it was late 20's. Acid reflux is the best bit! I'm still amazed hubby can sleep through me coughing and spluttering. Can't seem to pin it down to any particular food type. Hate Gaviscon but it's better than the alternative!

weegiemum · 14/07/2014 20:32

Every time as soon as the ms subsided. I used to get 4x500ml bottles a fortnight!

Popping Zantac every night now...35 weeks...

Lisad1975 · 15/07/2014 10:07

I had it from about 7 weeks and I thiught it would go away but no I still had it at 18 weeks and getting worse in evenings . Gaviscon was useless and made me gag :(
Doctor gave me some omeperozole and its changed my world! I feel soooo normal and actually enjoying being pg now! Wish I hadnt waited so
Long!

FirsttimerG · 15/07/2014 16:58

From 20 weeks. Gaviscon and rennies don't cut it.
I also take Zantac 75 daily and it has made a huge difference, miles better.

melliebobs · 15/07/2014 16:59

I never got heartburn. Not everyone gets it in pregnancy

Missingcaffeine · 15/07/2014 21:06

Had one episode in early 20's after a chinese takeaway, then it started occasionally around 25 weeks, and slowly became more frequent. Now I'm 30weeks and get it most days. Had gaviscon 4 times yesterday (that was the worst day I've had). Today not needed it at all. Eating regularly definitely helps. I mostly get it when I've not eaten for ages,

JennyBlueWren · 15/07/2014 21:14

I have it after every meal from week 5 onwards. Better if I have small frequent meals e.g. half portions but 6 meals a day.

Even the thought of Gaviscon makes me feel sick :( not been able to take anything for it.

ToniWol · 16/07/2014 13:42

Have just started to get this at 23 wks - I have Gaviscon on standby but milk and peppermint tea (separately, obvously...) appear to be working so far.

Kels13 · 16/07/2014 19:52

Before I knew I was pregnant I was waking in the night with it, then ever since! Peptac and Gaviscon are lifesavers!

FoxSticks · 16/07/2014 19:54

About 26 weeks, baby is breech so that's not helping things according to the midwife.
